Visitor Restrictions Are Lifted at Mille Lacs Health System

12/08/2009 - 1:20pm

It appears that the H1N1 Influenza activity is declining. The Minnesota Department of Health states that there does continue to be some cases in Minnesota so they suggest that you continue to be alert for symptoms and continue to obtain vaccinations for the Seasonal and H1N1 if you have not already done so. Because of the declining episodes in our area we are very happy to announce that visitors and children are again welcome to visit hospital patients and nursing home residents at Mille Lacs Health System. Our administration, doctors, nurses, and all of our employees wish to thank everyone in the community for helping to contain and slow the spread of the H1N1 influenza by abiding by our visitor restriction guidelines.

Thanks to your continued support and understanding we were able to prevent this from becoming a widespread pandemic. However if you are ill, have cold symptoms, a fever or any other possible contagious illness that you refrain from visiting patients and residents (this is an on-going request, not just at flu season).

We know how important your visits are to your loved ones in the hospital and nursing home and we do not like having to restrict your visits therefore we are extremely happy that we are able to allow you all to return and cheer up your family and friends. Enjoy the Holidays and stay healthy.
